About

David Ainsworth

David Ainsworth is a long-time international maritime lawyer, an ex-Marine infantry officer, a former stevedore superintendent on the San Francisco waterfront, a docent on the SS Jeremiah O’Brien (a WWII Liberty ship berthed  at  Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco,) an inventor (BookValet, a hands-free book holder) and a winemaker in California’s Napa Valley (Admiralty Cellars-not for sale.)  He is also a writer of novels and short fiction.

His modus operandi as a novelist is to identify a rich political subtext and, through his characters, explore that subject  in a compelling and informative way. If the reader emerges from the story entertained and (to borrow from the Apple ad) “thinking different,” the author has done his job.
